Do I need technical expertise to manage a VPS?
Basic technical knowledge is helpful, especially for unmanaged VPS plans, where you handle server setup and maintenance. Managed VPS plans include support for server management tasks, making it easier for beginners.
How secure is a VPS?
A VPS offers enhanced security compared to shared hosting, with isolated resources and the ability to implement custom security measures. However, maintaining security is still your responsibility, especially on unmanaged plans.
How do I access my VPS?
You can access your VPS through SSH (for Linux servers) or Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) for Windows servers. Control panels like cPanel or Plesk may also be available for easier management.
How can I reset my account password?
If you’ve forgotten your password, click the “Forgot Password?” link on the login page. Enter your registered email address, and you’ll receive instructions on how to reset your password.
How do I update my personal information in the client panel?
Log in to your Olive VPS client panel, navigate to “Account Settings,” and update your personal details such as your name, email, address, and phone number. Save the changes to update your profile.
How can I view my billing history?
To view your billing history, log in to the client panel, go to the “Billing” section, and select “Invoices.” Here, you can view a list of all your past invoices and their payment statuses.
How can I cancel a service?
To cancel a service, log in to the client panel, navigate to “Services,” select the service you want to cancel, and click “Request Cancellation.” You can choose to cancel immediately or at the end of the billing period. Cancelling immediately provides the refund amount after the verification and checking the refund policies.
How do I request a refund?
To request a refund, log in to your client panel, go to the “Services” section, and submit a cancellation request and create a support ticket through our support portal. You can directly contact with our support team through live chat or support ticket to cancel your service and request a refund.
Are all services eligible for a refund?
Olive VPS offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on most VPS plans. If you are not satisfied with our service within the first 30 days, you can request a full refund. You can contact with our live chat or billing team through support regarding the refund policy for that specific VPS plans.
How long does it take to process a refund?
Once a refund request is approved, it typically takes 5-10 business days for the refund to be processed and credited to your original payment method.
What happens to my data if I request a refund and cancel my service?
If you request a refund and cancel your service, your VPS will be terminated, and all associated data will be deleted. Be sure to back up any important data before requesting a refund.
What is KYC, and why is it required?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is a process used to verify the identity of our customers. It’s required to prevent fraud, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and protect the integrity of our services. We will ask for KYC in case of payment larger than $50 or payment done through PayPal or Stripe.
What documents are needed for KYC verification?
You need to provide a government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or driver’s license) and a recent proof of address (like a utility bill or bank statement).
How do I submit my KYC documents?
You can submit your KYC documents through our support ticket which will be opened by our support team before processing your order. Ensure that the documents are clear and legible.
Will my KYC information be shared with third parties?
Your KYC information will not be shared with third parties, except as required by law or regulatory obligations. We take your privacy very seriously.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my VPS plan?
Yes, Olive VPS, allow you to easily upgrade or downgrade your VPS plan as your resource needs change.
What operating systems can I install on a VPS?
We offer a variety of operating systems, including different versions of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian) and Windows Server. You can choose the OS that best suits your needs.
What happens if I exceed my VPS resource limits?
If you exceed your resource limits, your VPS may slow down or become temporarily unavailable. You can upgrade your plan or optimize your applications to prevent this from happening. Except for Cloud or Elastic VPS which will be available and for all the excess usage you will be charged accordingly.
Can I get a partial refund if I downgrade my plan?
Downgrades do not qualify for partial refunds. However, you can downgrade your plan at any time, and the new pricing will take effect in the next billing cycle.
